  1. After reading alot of other posts about bush replacement it looks like i'll have to invest in a vice of some description and take a course of steroids. No doubt it'll be worth it in the end, just need to overcome the 'fear' of fecking it up, and having to get it towed to a garage :) where they'll point and laugh
  2. Is this true? or are you yanking our chains? :) I know my wishbone bushes need doing, part of the advice from the last MOT, I might aswell replace the whole lot I think, is it going to be a nightmare doing it myself? How much would a garage charge d'ya think? questions questions always more questions :)
  3. After 13 years of driving I finally succombed to getting some 'big' wheels, I needed 4 new tyres on the speedlines and thought what the hell! One trip to Elite later and i have some 17" Kosei WK 105 rims wrapped in toyo t1s rubber. They're a kind of dirty chrome colour which changes slightly depending on the viewing angle. I thought they complemented the car colour. My other planned mods have been taking their time coming into fruition, I've had a weitec suspension kit sat in my hallway for over 6 months!!! So I need a kick up the behind to put it on, although I quite like the 'Baja' look  Just purchased 288mm front discs and calipers from Marc C, cheers mate :) who knows how long they might sit there tho.... Eug.
  4. Looks lovely, nice job on the polishing :)
  5. This has happened to me before, I used a slightly smaller socket and tapped it over the lock nut (Carefully!) and then undid it. It helps to use a long extension bar when removing too HTH Eug
  6. That's a great christmas pressie :) I think most people would place the new tweeters in the dash, just for ease of fitment but also it's not a bad location for setting up the car's focal soundstage, bouncing the sound back from the windscreen. For crossover location look here http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15218 HTH Eug 8)
  7. I just bought some of that roll for mine :) Part Number: 3A0 867 201H £5.54 + VAT HTH Eug
  8. It must have been colder than I thought the other day, after lifting my wiper arms to clean the blades they both snapped at the arm linkage!!! So I thought it was about time to get this mod done :) , took a trip to the dealers to get two lupo wiper arms. Got a shock when he said they had them in stock! 5 minutes later I now have some better looking wiper arms and can now look forward to seeing where I'm going. Part numbers used V6X2 998 406 (two of) @£17.36 + VAT Eug
  9. Is it wrong to like the Citroen DS? Those swivel headlights... The single spoke steering wheel...
  10. Yes despite me wanting to see a Ghia :D your car looks pretty tidy I almost bought a G60 same colour before I bought the VR Good luck with her Eug. 8)
  11. I picked up a vibratechnics front mount at inters and fitted it last weekend, it made a hell of a difference, gear change was better, engine response seemed crisper and brakes seem to have more bite, I'm extremely happy with it, there was nothing wrong with the original either, what a difference!
  12. hmmm, I diven't like the sound of that!! abs sensors falling off  *puts on my thinking cap* the wheels would have looked excellent... :x
