hi all, after posting sometime ago i reckon i need a new thermostat as this one is sticking- thermostat is for a 94-anyone know how much these are? i have also read about getting a thermostat that works at lower temps or something- is this better for the engine? also anyone tell me a few basic steps on getting this bugger out ? aas usual all help is appreciated- i only relly ever post when i need help sorry if that pi$es folk off but i really am very grateful!!!!!

how much for a front vibratechnics engine mount- they expensive ?

hi all, my mk2 vr6 has a wee problem. heaters are warm for a while just after start up but then go cool- i had a new matrix a while back and there is plenty of water in rad etc- running temps seem fine... any help appreciated thanks

my car seems to build up quite a heat when left to idle... after looking into it the fan on the left(the one without the motor) does not come on, just the one on the right does - is this belt driven? if so how much and how easy?, my rad also seems to have a few small bashes- i assume this wont help ? cheers for any help

not sure my fan is kicking in, any simple checks i can do ? also is it possible to connect it to a switch so i can turn it on/off manually if need be ? cheers

Right...IT WAS THE COIL PACK!!!!! thank god for that i was beginning to worry..... £133 but at least it is sorted, took the old one off and it looked pretty rusty on the inside,old looking-it was a Beru that was on it- but im affraid i had to put a Beru back on!! lets see how long it lasts... !!

right= i have sprayed water around the coilpack and saw nothing... however it is now spluttering even more i think,,could that be an indication?? spoke to a local garage who are supposed to be quite good-they said they could test it but i never got a price.... is it worth buying one ???? cheers...again...

not tried the coilpack yet(mist of water....) but trying to get some prices.... main stealer £225 +vat euro carparts £117 + vat...beru ??!! i know folks say the beru can be problimatice but i hardly use my motor say 4000 miles a year... what do yous think...any other places i can try.... thanks again...

ok..well just checked the blue temp sensor and its not that... i have reseated various conectors and still no joy..i will try the mist of water on the coil pack...tonight..!

its in a mk2 golf...there is a funny looking connector under the glove box..think thats it.. no water or oil leaking... car had been running fine too...it does sit around alot sometimes a week at a time as i have a company motor.... what about this temp sensor thing...??!! cheers

OK folks i need your help on this.... Battery was flat and has been playing up for a while so i replaced it. put new one on and left disconnected for about 15 mins... THEN AFTER GOING FOR A SPIN FOR 10 MINS IT STARTED TO RUN VERY SH*!E. NOT RUNNING ON ALL CYLINDERS...??? i have changed the plugs and checked the leads with a meter-all seemed ok.. still poo?? what hell can this be..coil pack...some kind of sensor???..i really dont know.. sometimes it seems to clear but most of the say 85% it really struggles... help...thanks very much folks..

i have that problem too!! clifford g4 alarm-if car is left a few days the battery is flat- had the battery tested and its goosed- getting aonother one... cheers

agree too- alarm-defo, had that problem before although not with a corrado...possible it could have got water or dampness in it- lots of rain recently...best to get the alarm ripped out or bypassed.....bet the alarm is old...

hi everyone..this is my first post.... i have a mk2 golf 2.9 vr6. the problem i have is that it starts ok from cold but it takes 2 or3 attempts to start when warm ??? also i noticed the other day that my heaters went cold, not really cold after driving for a while.. there is plenty of water and coolant and its not the heater matrix , this is only a few months old...the engine does not appear to be over heating- both dials indicate that it seems ok??? thanks vey much for any help !! cheers
