If anyone dose i could do with it sent first class next day and obviously i will pay the charge. Thanks again tom

Ill try and get a pic up of it tomorrow. It just wont come out lol We tryed everything we could to get it out we heated it up, tryed reverse drill bits, molly's and in the end the reverse drill bit snapped off in it so we just called it game over lol. So if anybody has a spare 280mm drivers one with a nice free bleed nipple lol that would be fantastic Cheers Tom

As above I need a 280mm drivers side caliper ASAP lol. I started to do the 280mm conversion yesterday but unfortunately as i tryed to open the beed nipple on the os one it sheered off. So I spent all day yesterday trying to get it out with no luck (it is never coming out) So if sombody has one that they can sell me ASAP that would be fantastic. I live in prescot, Merseyside so if theres one close by i can come and get it Cheers guys Tom :)

I put a VT gearbox mount on my 8v last month and it already had the front VT mount. At first after fitting the box mount the vibration was awful, everything in the car shook lol. But because I did the job on a sunday and had to drive it to work monday, I had no choice but to put up with it. Over the week driving it to work it got better so i just left it and now it still vibrates abit more than oe mounts on cold start up but once it warms up it seems ok. It dosnt vibrate when driving and dosnt when it idles once its warm. So maybe just try and let them settle and wear it abit? Hope this helps dude Tom

Right thanks very much for ur reply. I wont use sealant then just go with the good clean and bit of oil round it then.
-
Hi, just a quick one. Im fitting a new rocker cover gasket to my 2.0 8v and just need to know if it needs sealant or weather you just clean it up and put a bit of oil round it? I have searched for an answer but only seem to find about vr6's lol. If anyone could tell me that would be great. Cheers Tom

Hay guys I'm after a pair of 40mm front lowering springs or a pair of front coilovers for my 8v. I am using 25mm eiback springs on bilstein b4 at the moment the only issue is that the front sits a lot higher than the back lol. I'm guessing it because the 8v engine is lighter? I've had a look online and it seems you can only get lowering springs in sets of four but I only need the front ones. So if anybody has a front pair of either lowering springs or coilovers lying about and you want rid could you give me a shout please. Cheers Tom
-
Hay man did u ever find out if the 26mm one's fitted? Cheers Tom
-
No there doesn't appear too be alot of interest really lol

Id be up for a north west meet soon but that cat and fiddle is far out for me too because im in prescot. There was one last year at haigh hall in wigan on a sunday which was good?
-
Right cool so the one's im gettin are 185 50 on an 8j so might not be that bad lol. Might just have to replace the front one's then.
-
Cheers man, what profile where the 185 on an 8j? Cheers Tom
-
Yeh of course bud. Thanks for ur help man. Im sure ill sort it out. Be easier to judge when i acctually have them haha. Cheers Tom
-
hard to say because everyone has there own opinion on this subject as there are people out there that will happily use them, my rear*tires*are slightly stretched {205/45's on a 9j rim} im happy to use them from a safety aspect as its not extreme but im paranoid about being stop checked as ill have to sort it out as the police are always right! The way i see it, is every*tire*manufacturer has a*tire*size chart and it says what width*tire*are allowed to fit on what width rim , stick to it or try to as best you can... Thanks man so that might be about the same stretch with urs bein 205 45 on a 9j and mine bein a 185 50 on a 8j?
-
Right thanks very much leon. They look like a reasonable amount of stretch, do u think the rears might be ok on 185 with them being a 50 profile rather than 45? Or do u think its still gonna be risky lol? I think i have a pair of 205 45 that i could put on the fronts if they are the main issue lol. Cheers Tom
