  1. I take it you mean the bumper iron is staying put and plastic bumper moulding is falling off?

Not good. Never see that happen before on a C. It used to happen big bumper Golfs if someone 'reskinned' the bumper iron poorly.

I'm guessing that might be what happened to yours at some stage?

Yeah in that case then it's just the plastic bumper moulding that's falling off. I had another look today and there appear to be some bolts on the under side of the bumper that are screwed into nothing, i'll have to get it up on the ramps and investigate further.

  2. nice one :)

Paint is still nice and bright as well!

Another mk2 to Corrado owner :) I would have loved to have kept my 8v gti as well.

Seems the corrado car preference ideal is: mk2 Gti --> Corrado --> Audi S# --> 911

I'm getting there slowly, Mk2 16v - Corrado 16v (we'll forget about the fiat uno for now   )

  3. If it's anything like the Mk2 golf rear pistons and i do believe they are then you need to turn them Clockwise, and put a bit of force behind them at the same time, so just push in and turn (try needle nose pliers)

    Hope this helps :)

  4. Just the other night and for the second time my bumper decided it was going to jump of the front of my C and i managed to push it along the floor, resulting in this.......................... thank god i didn't run over it.

Now it's being held on with big fu**ing cable ties because most of the clips on the back of the bumper are either worn out or snapped of.

I've been quoted by a mate of mine between £65 - £100 to get it resprayed, What are your thoughts?

  5. Don't even joke about Stealers Jim. My MK2 16V Turbo had Corrado G60 wheels on it and when some tart drove into me and bent one of the rear wheels, VW billed me £330+centre cap+VAT for 1 wheel :?

I wish I had gone 2.0 16V to be honest. I've seen a 2.0 16V Turbo Corrado on Stealth's rollers kicking out over 250bhp. I love the 16V T engine..... makes the VR feel soooooo slow.

Gotta love that engine & Check out the Estorils.

  6. Okay here goes, taken earlier this year in DUBLIN hence the Guinness. Don't ask what she's doing because i've been sworn to secresy.

Just another shot from Dublin i thught you'd enjoy what with it envolving signs and everything. (My mate will probably kill me for posting it......................

  7. I want to keep my original Estorils and get them Chromed or Polished and was just wondering if anyone knows of any wheel spacers or knows about how wheel spacers work  in terms fixings e.t.c. as i've always been a bit confused :? as to how they fit and how wheel offsets work and what the ET Nos. are all about

    Any help greatley appreciated.

    Wheel Novice.

  8. Okay just got back from the stealers after picking up the C from her 120,000 mile service.

So here's a list of the problems, (thank god far less than expected and not to difficult to rectify.

    New Front Tyres Required

    NSF lower ball joint worn

    Rear axle bushes worn

    Rear Bump stops broken

    OSF ABS sensor Required

    I'm happy with that :)

  9. Heater matrix can sometimes be replaced under the VW warranty as quite a few were called back in due to faults or something, i forget but there are some threads on here somewhere stating all the facts.

  10. Sorry to hear that phatvr6 but if that ba*#ard had continuosly bashed his door into the side of my C i'd have punched his fu*#ing lights out  . Not to dramatic i hope, but c*#ts like that do my fu*#ing head in. Hasn't happened to me yet and touch wood and taking the necessary precautions......

    a) driving all around car parks before selecting the 'best' space,

    b) ideally parking in a space with at least one side against a wall,

    c) parking in a quiet area, i.e. furthest away from the entrance.

    d) never parking anywhere near where the trolleys get returned to!

    It's not going to.

Hope you've got it sorted or are geting it done.

  11. Not quite sure Yalan i'd probably reckon to pay about £200 - £250 with a good set of tyres. I think they'd look mint if they were polished and the car was lowered, but i'm not sure i might just stick a set of 16" rims on there but again no idea what. OHHH decisions, decisions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
