1. Hi guys, I had a for sale thread on here a month or two ago bit struggled with pictures. Now on eBay. Here's the link if anyone's interested. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251494864468
2. I still have this for sale. I can't seem to upload pictures so it's now on eBay. Here's the link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251494864468. Description is still correct apart from the road tax has expired. Hi all, Unfortunately the time has come for me to move my corrado on. It's for sale through no fault of its own. My employer has now restricted use of my company van so I can no longer use it for personal use. With my fishing addiction and having a large dog the corrado is no longer practical. The car is a 1995 on a M reg. It's covered just over 123,000miles. It's got MOT until October (no advisories on last MOT) and tax till end of March. The car is completely standard with the exception of a Lupo wiper conversion. The spoiler and sunroof both work as they should as do the windows and the locking. When I bought the car the heater controls didn't work. I've replaced the controls so now all 4 speeds work and the hot and cold works correctly. The direction control however does not work. This is down to the Bowden cables been bent, not the controls themselves, so these will need replacing. I have left the cables disconnected so no damage can be done to the controls. I have manually set the heater box to blow air onto the windscreen so there's no problems with steaming up. The interior is really tidy, there's the usual bolster wear on the drivers seat but it's only the foam. The cloth is not damaged. Engine wise it runs great, no smoke or any untoward noises, starts first time and idles well. Drives really smooth with plenty of power. All gears select as they should although if I'm been picky 1st can sometimes be a little stiff to get in but it's never caused me a issue. Exterior is not bad for its age. In my opinion it does need some areas tidying up. Both front wings are showing signs of rust. There's also a small amount of rust one of the rear arches and a small amount on the tailgate and the top of the windscreen. There also the usual age related marks and dings. Don't let this put you off though, it sounds worse than it actually is. It's by no means rotten shed, I just want to be honest. There's a few areas that have obviously seen some paint at some point in its life. It's still a presentable looking car. Other work done recently includes, New genuine vw gearbox mount Dave's door handle repair kit (drivers side is fitted, I have the passenger side but not fitted) Heater matrix done Abs ecu replaced New parcel shelf straps Centre console replaced along with clock surround. I also have a updated headlight loom to fit which I'll include in the sale. The car is currently fitted with a bmc cda, this will be removed and the standard air box fitted. The bmc will be for sale on its own if interested. Overall all its a good solid original car that's ready to drive away, it even has bf a tank of super in the tank. It would be ideal for use as a daily or could be restored. Also would be good for breaking. I thought I'd offer it here first before it goes on eBay at the weekend. I've not added any photos as in having trouble adding them from my phone. If your interested pm me a email address and I'll happily email some to you. Any questions please ask.
3. No problem. Sounds good. I'm back at work now though so will organise some way of getting them picked up. If I can't could you package so I can arrange a courier? Cheers.
4. To be honest if your just sticking odd parts of existing trim down as you've done normal carpet adhesive will be fine. But if your covering a full panel I'd always use the high temp stuff.
5. From my experience you need to use a high temp adhesive for vehicle interiors. If yo use a normal carpet spray adhesive the first hot day you get it will start to peel off. I learnt this the hard way when I carpeted my caddy van. I redid it useing some stuff from megavanmats.com. They do a spray on for thicker materials (carpet etc) and a brush on for thinner stuff like headlinings. It's been stuck solid for best part of two years now. It's what I'm going to use when I get round to doing my rado's headlining. Hope this helps
6. I'm 29, owned my corrado vr for 8 months. My first corrado but not my first vr6.
7. No I don't need the fan or duct the fan works fine on all speeds as it should and the hot cold part is working correctly. It just all the air direction parts that are damaged on mine. The face/feet arm is jammed solid and where the the screen flap cable attaches there's one of those metal clips to stop the cable moving, the plastic where this clip fixes to is broken off so the cable is just flapping about if that makes sense. It had the heater matrix replaced a few months before I bought the car so would imagine it was a bit of a bodge job.
8. Cheers for that, don't worry about postage though, I would come and pick it up, shame I didn't know earlier, I was only working at the big Asda in Milton Keynes on Friday night.
9. Spot on, thanks. I also need a heater box if your getting rid of that as well. The part that the clip for the screen flap cable fastens to has broken off on mine. Cheers
10. I found out today I need a couple of these, just found this website http://www.cable-tec.co.uk/applications/bowden_cables.asp and wondered if anyone has a dash in bits at the moment that could look to see if they have any type of number on that I could email to them. I noticed they do custom cables as we'll so may look into sending mine to them to get some made up if they don't stock them.
11. Bit of a disheartening day today. Decided to go out and fit the new heater controls and centre console I bought a few weeks ago. Got it all stripped down and had a check of all the associated heater parts to try and find the cause of the failure of the old controls. Found the hot/cold part to working fine but the other two cables for the directional control are completely bent. I removed the two cables then tried to operate the arms by hand. The control on the passenger side of the heater box is completely jammed solid, I was hoping it might had jumped a few teeth but after abit of adjustment it seems it is stuck fast. The control on the drivers side/rear of the heater is worse, the control moves ok but the mounting point for the cable clip has been broken off so the cable is just flapping on the breeze. So it looks like I will need a full new heater box. :( Also noticed it's now leaking water into the footwells and the abs light is intermittently coming on. Seems these cars give with one hand and take away with the other. Lol. It's got to the point now where it needs that many little jobs doing I'm considering finding a workshop so I can take it off the road for a few months and get it all sorted. I'm limited at the moment as I only have a small brick built carport which is impossible to work in. If anyone from the hull area knows of anywhere suitable or wants to possibly share a place maybe, let me know. Cheers
12. Managed to source all the parts I need now apart from the drivers side front fog. Anyone got one kicking about? Even just the glass would be fine. Cheers
13. The one in morrisons was most probably mine. M reg sherry pearl?? Thanks for watching out for it for me if it was. Always makes me nervous parking it there.
14. First MOT in my ownership done and dusted. Straight through with no advisories and clean emissions. Well chuffed. Going to have a good day on it tomorrow and fit some of the parts that have been collecting in my spare room.
15. Moment of truth.
16. Ok, thanks, would work out cheaper for me to have them posted at £350 but my budget doesn't stretch that far at the moment. May be in touch come pay day if you still have them for sale. Thanks for your time.
17. Hi, what would you take for these if they where collected? Cheers.
18. Hi, I will take the clock surround and rear ash tray if you still have them. Cheers.
19. Cheers thanks. Would be interested in a drivers front fog light and the dash centre console (the bit that houses the radio etc) if you could send pics of those at the same time. Cheers
20. Hi, what are the front wings like? Not fussed on scratch's or small dinks but looking for a pair of rust free items. Cheers
21. Would be interested in drivers front fog light and dash centre console (part that houses the heater controls and radio etc) if all in good condition with no cracks etc.
22. Hi, sorry cris only just seen this. If you could post some pics up for me that would be great. Cheers.
23. That's ok then.:) It worked with the part number in one long number. Just had a email back in German, which roughly says their dealing with my order and they will be in touch. Thanks for your help with this.
