I'm currently thinking of buying a C and when we test drove it it seemed most the dash bulbs were out! it seemed illuminated slightly from above but not at all from behind the clocks even the digital mileage etc was out. Do you guys think its just multiple bulbs out or could it be something else? Sorry to slightly hijack the thread a little

I have a 1994 2.0 16v Corrado in Dragon Green for sale. It has Mot until Jan 2015 (no tax but can tax at cost) its done 191k but still drives and runs great. Its recently had (in the last 6 months) a new radiator, new rear axle bushes and rear axle all painted, 4x new tyres and refurbed Porsche d90 wheels with adaptors. Its got a milltek s/s exhaust. Its got a few marks here and there as to be expected and some rust on the osr wheel arch (see pic) but overall its in really nice condition, its had no welding and is very solid underneath. Included in the sale is a mk4 Golf 20v turbo AGU engine and loom with 102k on. I really wanted to do a conversion but I know deep down its never going to happen due to lack of free time, and I really need the space back on the drive for my T4 camper coming out of storage and my mini going back on the road. I'm losing quite a bit of money on this but need a quick sale to get it of the drive so no offers please. £1100 Located in Grantham Lincolnshire pg[/img]

I'm just about to pick up a egu engine from a golf with loom and all the bits but no ecu, am I right in thinking that I can use any egu ecu?
-
Yes I'm hoping to modify the downpipe for now to save me a few quid. I thought I would get the immobiliser deleted for ease (not sure on cost yet though) and I will 100% want to keep the corrado clocks as I'm not keen on clocks not fitting well. Good news on the clutch though I thought it needed to be a vr6 1 or something more. Thanks

Hi guys, Im thinking of doing a 20vt conversion on my 1994 9a engine raddo and just need some confirmation on parts that I need from the donor car. I am planning on running the standard Leon management. I have found fairly local a low milage seat leon cupra with the 180bhp auq engine but he wants to much for the hole car so I need to get together a parts list for him. So far from my searches I have got... Engine Engine loom all ancillaries attached to the engine turbo ecu Maybe front pipe? I have a merc sprinter intercooler so don't think I need the leon 1 right? Anything else I need from the leon? Will the standard gearbox on the raddo be ok with this set up? Also just 1 other thing as I'm not 100% sure on is it still a straight forward conversion on the later 9a corrado's as it is with the kr's? Thanks for any help on this guys

Can anybody help with this? I don't want to start replacing random things if there is something more common than not. Any tests I could try maybe to help eliminate stuff?

My mates 2.0 16v Corrado is cutting out when pulling up at traffic lights and junctions, its starts again then revs up to 2000rpm for a few seconds and then idles pretty normal until the next junction. I have put my icv on it and its the same, I cant find any vacumm leaks and the temp gauge reads normal, so what else could it be any ideas?
-
Really? that's good news then, should make life a bit easier sourcing one! are mk2 golf gti's also the same?

Ok I have got a 1994 (m-reg) 16v Corrado and the n/s/r wheel is sat kicked/bent inwards at the bottom. I have put a new stub axle on but its made no difference so I'm thinking its gonna need a new axle. I have done some searching and found (I think) that the later corrados have a different axle to the earlier models and the mk2 golfs, is this correct? or will I get away with any non vr6 axle?

Where in the world are you?

I thought as much thanks for your help. Is the plug for the lambda sensor located kind of behind the engine on the drivers side with a 4 pin connecter? Its the only spare plug I can see.
-
Is the engine available? If so how much?

I did a middle box exhaust delete, the baffles had had it so thought I had nothing to lose. I was wrong.. I now need to buy a new exhaust asap as it sounds bloody horrible!

Just recently bought myself a toy in the form of a corrado 2.0 16v. After checking it over under the bonnet I noticed that the white temp sensor on the right hand side of the engine was unplugged, I plugged it back in and it started to run like a bag of nails, so bought a new sensor but this is doing the same thing! Its runs well without it plugged in, so what could be the cause of it? Don't know if its related but its had the cat and lambda sensor removed as well. Any ideas/help with this please?
