Yes i have named him! he has been my faithful companion for the past 6/7 years but i dont have the know how or extra finances to keep him. He has literally just had his cambelt and tensioners done and regularly serviced by my local garage, he has a stainless steel exhaust and sports Cat, he has a sigma alarm and he was lowered by his previous owner. His known issues are that he has a wet patch behind the drivers seat but this could just be a seal, we have bypassed the heater matrix to check if this is the source of the leak in the back - there is no leak in the passenger footwell or badsmell so we do not believe there is any problem with the heater matrix. He is making a whining noise and occasionally revs high. he has a tooth missing in his sunroof track so this currently isnt working but the motor still works. in addition he will need a re-spray as his is red and fading, he also has a dink in the rear wheel arch - his rear vw badge is missing after i took him to get valeted and they broke it! if you are still reading after the bad bits - i can tell you the gearbox, clutch, brakes are all fine - all his electrics work, i replaced the innards of the driverside door handle with an aluminium part instead of the plastic because it kept breaking! his only has 120,000 mile on the clock and he is a k reg - starts everytime i ask him to. he currently has a kenwood face off stereo and an amp which i may or may not remove. he is taxed and tested until the end of March, His interior is in good shape - no tears or burns. i really am devastated to have to re-home him but my other half tells me i have too. i have treated him as well as a member of the family and tried to take care of him as best as i can. i can supply pictures if requested - as i havent had chance to take them yet as its too dark when i get home from work. -

Selling my rusty Corrado to make way for a bike in a couple of months when the physio has worked her magic & I can get back on two wheels. It's not the best looker and the heater is blown meaning you get two heat settings: Cold, and cold as fook, and a main beam headlight is out. Everything else on the car is sorted. All electrics A1, sunroof, spoiler, later model leather interior in good nick, just spent £450 on Alpine speakers all around and can leave those in for an extra £100 if need be. New tires all round for the MOT 4 months ago. Lowered on coilovers, with unknown 17" multis on. Just been treated to an oil change, coolant change (Using the proper VW stuff, not the cheap crap) new discs & pads all round. Really well looked after mechanically, just a bit tatty outside. Done 128k miles, starts first time every time, doesn't burn excess oil unlike most VW's of this age i've owned before, coolant doesn't get suspiciously drained on long journeys either etc etc. Tax is up end of December but i'm still using it daily so I will be re-taxing it again for six months int new year. Location: Tidwort, Wilts Price: 1700.00 GBP Date added to Classifieds: 29th Dec 2011 Description: 1995/M Volkswagen Corrado 2.9 VR6 Aqua blue with grey dash and grey cloth interior 185k miles (av 14k per year) MOT: Dec 2012 Tax: Feb 2012 6 Previous owners For sale is my VW Corrado VR6 I have owned since for the last 3 years. I have just MOT’d the car, and it has a couple of months of road tax left (which is £215 a year). Mechanically this car has been very well looked after, mainly by myself. I have a large folder full of invoices and receipts documenting all the service history back to 1997, VW service print-out from 1995-2002, MOT certificates going back to 2007 and any other maintenance work. Also included is the VW leather folder I obtained with a replacement service book and instruction manual, as it was missing when I bought the car. Bad points: • Bodywork in good condition, but in keeping with a 16 year-old daily used car. • Missing the window rubber on passenger side (got pulled off by the window when it had some tree sap on it) • Clutch may need changing soonish (no slipping, but squeals slightly on take-up) • Can take a few turns to catch when the engine is hot Good points: • Faultlessly reliable in my ownership • New KW v1 in Oct 2010 • Refurbished Speedlines in anthracite (one slightly kerbed) • VGC Hankook Icebear W300 tyres all-round • Miltek cat-back • Polybushed front • Poly & TDI engine mounts • Sony 6x9s in rear parcel shelf with Kenwood CD headunit • Good service history (last 70k meticulously by me – I’m an Incorporated Engineer with the IMechE if that makes any difference!) • Recent (180k) oil & filter service • 189 bhp on Surrey Rolling Road (June 2010) • I’ve averaged 32mpg over last 30k miles • Headlight loom relay and Philips bulbs • New front brake pads • EBC Yellowstuff rear pads • Laserline CAT 1 alarm (with installation certificate) • Engine pulls really smoothly and strongly throughout the whole rev range. No chain rattle. • MFA, ABS, ventilation, electric windows, sunroof, mirrors and spoiler are in full working order. It’s not a garage queen or a concours winner, but it’s a regularly used and well-maintained example in good condition and I’ll be really sad to see it go.
