Jim 2 Posted October 5, 2004 I've always been slightly worried about the notion of cruise control.. and stories like this don't really sell it to me. Still, at least with most cars you have the option of removing the key from the ignition - strange that he couldn't just whip the card out of the slot though? Tekara 0 Posted October 5, 2004 Hummm, BMW cruise control is pretty good, it only works when in 5th gear. Cant imagine other manufactures doing anything different. Id agree with Dr Mat blowing an engine is a safer thing to do. Id say thing guy just wanted to drive, good excuse though, but he could have thrown the card out the window.
