Kevin Bacon 5 Posted October 21, 2004 Yep, the connector is clipped to the rear engine mount and the probe itself is infront of the cat. I don't know if the 16V uses a 3 or 4 wire probe but to test it you need to prod a meter probe in the signal wire (usually white) and the other probe to earth. When the engine is hot, the volt meter should fluctuate rapidly. If it just sits there at 0.45V, the probe is dead.
dubweiser 0 Posted October 21, 2004 thanks for that. But that reminds me does anyone know how many wires my probe should have as the guy at ECP asked me this on the fone and im not sure
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted October 21, 2004 Look on the rear engine mount and you'll see!

MikeVR6 0 Posted October 21, 2004 I was advised not to buy a generic 2 or 4 wire Lambda by my mechanic friends. If I remember correctly a genuine one was about £60 from the stealers, once I negotiated some discount for being in the CCGB.
