dubweiser 0 Posted October 21, 2004 Ive just about ripped every last hair out of my head trying to find my cars crappy idling/running problem and it seems the only thing left is to replace or at least check the lambda probe.It is a 93 2litre 16v.Can someone tell me where exactly it is located and is there a way of testing it please.Help is mucho appreciated...... Kevin Bacon 5 Posted October 21, 2004 Yep, the connector is clipped to the rear engine mount and the probe itself is infront of the cat. I don't know if the 16V uses a 3 or 4 wire probe but to test it you need to prod a meter probe in the signal wire (usually white) and the other probe to earth. When the engine is hot, the volt meter should fluctuate rapidly. If it just sits there at 0.45V, the probe is dead. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
