quicksilver 0 Posted October 21, 2004 I seem to have a small petrol leak where the petrol hose joins injector rail on a VR6 I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure there was a recall on this problem - but getting to the point, does anyone know how much the pipes cost and how easy are they to fit? I replaced the flow and return pipes just in case which were £25 and £20. I was advised not buy bog standard pipe from GPC / halfords as the pipes used on the g60 were formed and if a striaght bit of pipe was used it would be liable to kinking. Is It a straight run??? Not really, its got a few bends in it that I can see but it dissapears behind the head and then I don't know where it goes from there until I get the engine cover thingy off. Jonathan 0 Posted October 22, 2004 The 2 hoses you need are: 021133990K and 021133988K They are £29.57 each plus vat from VW. Easy to fit, you just need to remove the air filter and MAF assembly to get access to where the rubber pipes join the hard plastic pipes. Remove the original spring clips with pliers and replace with jubillee clips (use proper "smooth" clips not the crappy Halfords ones with the worm drive as these will damage your new pipes). quicksilver 0 Posted October 22, 2004 Same here - it only does it first thing in the morning and drips a couple of times onto the alternator but it makes me worry! It think its just the ends of the hose where its old and brittle so it no longer seals properly - tightening the clips helps but it doesn't get rid of the problem.
