Which lights? .....(Updated with pic's21/1/05)

After much thought I am going to tackle spraying the orange sections of my lights red.Will I need brighter bulbs once they have been painted?

 

Thinking of just using the Foliatec spray.

if you use about 3 thin layers you won't need other bulbs.

black/red look really nice mate, looks like a good finish on them both too! well done! Whichever set you dont keep, stick on ebay - they've got for a fortune in the past.

Give the lights a good clean.Masked off the area not to be painted.Warmed up the aerosol in boiling water and give them 4 coats of paint.Allowing each coat to fully dry before applying next coat.

 

The paint is specifically for tinting lights but says not road legal on the tin!

All reds - think that's how I'm doing the Passat's lights (after much nagging from PhilK!)

 

Did you stripe the indicators when you did them red? Or just completely cover them, and if so, do the indicators/reverse lights still show their proper colours (albeit witha redddish tinge!)?
