Ford 0 Posted October 26, 2004 Hi how much are geniune mats at VW, are they still available. Just that I have seen them on ebay and they are going at over £60, thought that was a bit expensive? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 05000&rd=1 Cheers Ford

kerrinmay 0 Posted October 26, 2004 I got a price for a set of mats from the dealer week before last and think they were about £57 ish. Will probably order some tomorrow as mine are quite tatty.
Jim 2 Posted October 26, 2004 Dont waste your money on genuine VAG mats - they are pants! Thin cheap carpet, foam backed and with the Corrado logo just cut out and glued onto them.. seriously, look at spending the money with one of the custom mat people who could make the same mats of MUCH better quality for a lot less. Someone like JustMats springs to mind...
kerrinmay 0 Posted October 26, 2004 Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the Classic, Deluxe and Executive mats that JustMatz do? Would anyone even consider the Classic ones or are they ok?
vr6storm 0 Posted October 26, 2004 Euro-Car-Parts do decent quality carpet mats for the C for the princely sum of £25+vat +PnP
Ford 0 Posted October 26, 2004 Euro car parts mats dont have the fixing bits at the back do they? Considering getting original, as I still like the look of them despite quality, then buying a rubber mat for the drivers side, to keep corrado mats fresh. I mean nothing really happens to the passenger ones, I guess? Many thanks
kerrinmay 0 Posted October 26, 2004 If I got some from JustMatz do you think it would look tacky if I had the binding in a dark green to sort of match the colour of my 'Green Pearl' car?
Si B 0 Posted November 5, 2004 I got a couple of set of mats done by just matz with a matey-matey (my web site) logo on and I cant fault them. They are excellent quality and fit a treat. Nice bunch of guys as well. How about getting a batch of Corrado Forum mats made up?
kerrinmay 0 Posted November 22, 2004 Did VW only make Corrado carpet mats in black or did they come in different colours to match the interior? I got a couple of small samples of carpet from JustMatz this morning and just wondering what colour I should order. As I have a grey interior then I was wondering about grey, however if VW only ever made the mats in black then I'll probably go for black.
Ford 0 Posted November 22, 2004 Got some black ones the other day from VW, look really cool. Corrado logo in silver. I have stuck a small heal mat over the top of them to hopefully keep them looking okay for a while. Yep, VW did make in different colours.
kerrinmay 0 Posted November 22, 2004 So perhaps I should get grey ones then to match my interior. Wasn't sure if VW had made different colours as the ones in my car at the moment are black and the only other ones I've seen were on eBay and they were also black. Looking at JustMatz colours I'm not sure what colour to go for now - black, anthracite grey or light grey. What do you guys think would look best - taking into account the colour of my interior? Ford 0 Posted November 22, 2004 kerrinmay, what colour are your plastics? Black or grey. If they are black then go for black carpets. I have grey seats but black plastics, so went for black mats. If grey plastics then maybe go for grey mats. But hey its your preference at the end of the day. Sure what ever you got, black or grey, would look fine. vr6storm 0 Posted November 22, 2004 i went for black mats as apart from being easier to keep clean than the beige carpets it also broke up the amount of beige in the cabin
kerrinmay 0 Posted November 22, 2004 I've got grey seats, carpets and plastic. The only black bits are parts of the dash and the leather VR6 steering wheel, handbrake grip, gearknob and gator. Think I'm tempted to go for the anthracite grey as if will break up the light grey a bit and hopefully show less dirt than the lightish grey ones. kangaroo 0 Posted November 23, 2004 Dont waste your money on genuine VAG mats - they are pants! Thin cheap carpet, foam backed and with the Corrado logo just cut out and glued onto them.. Yeah, I noticed that the logo was just stuck-on when I almost sucked it up the hoover! A bit poor really.
