A20 LEE 0 Posted October 28, 2004 Got a sub on order :D Its just a bit too pretty to hide in a box so i want to mount it basket facing out. Is it simply a case of building a sealed box to match the subs parammetres and mounting the sub basket out or does it require a different type of box design? TIA
pablo_vr6 0 Posted October 28, 2004 same box design but dont take the subs displacement into account :)
Shilakadaddy 0 Posted October 28, 2004 and possibly change the phase on the amp - play it by ear (are you only having one sub per enclosure?)
theRuler 0 Posted November 2, 2004 i just built an enclosure in my boot, with a 10" sub facing basket outwards (just wire it as normal) it sounds dope. no ports, just tight bass. and you know what they say - tight is right
Neil VR6 0 Posted November 2, 2004 You'll need to reverse the phase or it'll fire into the box and sound plop
pablo_vr6 0 Posted November 2, 2004 might not make any difference to be honest.
