Yandards 0 Posted November 5, 2004 I am in the process of reconning some G60 hubs as parts of my current project but after splitting the hub from the lower suspension arm I am left with some of the bearing still attached to the hub. Any ideas how to split these two bits apart? Cheers, Yan
theRuler 0 Posted November 5, 2004 which bearing are you referring to? do you mean the wheel bearing? or are you talking about the ball joint? either way, its hammer time.
Yandards 0 Posted November 5, 2004 The wheel bearing, will stick some pics up tomorrow when I get chance. Hammer time is good but I need to get something in first to lever before I hammer.
h100vw 0 Posted November 6, 2004 If it were me, I'd angle grind a notch in it, until I could get a chisel in to spilt it. Or get your self a blow lamp and get it nice and hot. Probably get something small behind it to lever it off then. Gavin

Yandards 0 Posted November 7, 2004 Sorry
theRuler 0 Posted November 7, 2004 if it is the outer track of the bearing stuck in the hub, you should be able to hit it back through. there is a lip on it, get a "suitable drift" and smack the shiit out of it. think of "handy andy's" hit record when you are doing so . . . .
