Corrado badge (silver) - Discontinued??

Ordered a (silver) 'Corrado' badge from my local vee-dub dealer earlier in the week. I quoted the part number from my badge - 535 853 687.

 

Dealer called today to say that the part has been recently discontinued. Anybody know if this is true, and if so, where I might track one down from??

Yep, don't think you can get them anywhere anymore, even GPC don't do them. Will have to keep an eye out on ebay or maybe a forum member has one kicking around? Good luck

Yeah, I noticed they weren't listed on the GPC site....

 

....hopefully I'll be able to track one down from somewhere.

Have any of you guys removed your rare badges, e.g. "Storm" from your cars lest they get nicked? :shock:

I suppose it could become a problem.

Personally, I havent done it yet, but I think if I took the car out every day and parked it somewhere, say, at a workplace, I reckon I would.

Forget to mention - my dealer DID have the primed Corrado badges listed as available. Thinking of getting one of these as a spare - can always paint it silver myself I guess.
