Exhaust Help please, is mine original.

Phoned up Exhausts unlimited for and exhaust part and they said that my car has a car and 2 silencers.

 

Just looked under the car and i only have 1 silencer (the back box)

 

Is this correct.

 

Its blowin on the right angle bend and i ned to get it sorted but can;t find the right part.

 

They say the proper part is £120, might as well go for a full stainless system, any suggestions.

Why not get the rest of the system in SuperSprint to compliment the back box?

I've had 2 exhaust on my G60 & both have had 2 silencers

Yeah just phoned vw and they say its suppose to have 2 silencers.

 

Just checked the recipts i got with the car (sooo many :)) and found where the previous owner got the exhaust.

 

AH HA

 

Its supersprint from the cat back. mid section with no silencer and back box £394.56 :shock:

 

Phoned up for a new mid section with out silencer and its £90.40 :) and thats stainless Exhaust unlimited wanted £120 for the same part but original.

 

Only problem its going to take 3 weeks to special order the part from italy.

 

Tempted for a de cat pipe (£104.39)

 

But not a supersprint manifold £325.48

 

So just need to find somone in norwich with a tig welder to fix the crack till i get the new bits :)

I got my Milltek from John at JMR (07974 020031) cat by pass & full stainless system last month for £350

Exhausts unlimited's prices aren't cheap, VAG exhausts are usually cheaper (from VW or GSF) and last twice as long...

Must have been LOUD before the joint went, with no centre box!!

lol its a nice low rumble and only get really loud above 3500rpm :). But nows its abit naff with the blow.

 

Found the tig Welder and getting it done tomorrow :) £10

 

Now i wonder if i am losing any performance, my mpg is a bit worse than normal.
