Jim 2 Posted June 8, 2003 Lucky europeans!!!!!!!! I live in the US ant the only escort ford sells is slow and we may have got 1 turbo. Not that I'm complaining about ford (I'd rather drive my old Diesel Rabbit). But you get all the cool cars; Ren. Pug. Lotus, damn. Oh but my fav is my 86 Mazda RX-7, 1.3 rotary, fuel injection, about 145bhp, and REAR WHEEL DRIVE!! (Brodies are fun.) :turn-l: Difference is that you guys can afford to pick up excellent old V8 powered trucks & cars whereas over here you have to be a millionaire to keep something like that on the road!! :)
skid 1 Posted June 8, 2003 I will stick to the old school classics of the Dagenham type. 1)Ford mkII Escort RS 2000. :) 2) Escort Harrier 8) 3) i know its a bit older but who could resist a Escort Twin cam(lotus) That will do for now as i spent most my time passing everything on the bike

vr6storm 0 Posted June 8, 2003 ps...........seat ibiza's are vw-group so don't qualify  The original Seat Ibizas weren't, but I s'pose you're right on that. true......but then again you did say the 2nd seat ibiza's  .........and if i remember rightly the hot-hatch first ibiza's were the 1.5sxi and the 1.7 sportline and i'm pretty sure the sportline was one of the first(first generation ibiza's with vw-group input).....although when the ibiza was first on the go they made a big deal about having "system porsche" engine
Majik 0 Posted June 8, 2003 My favourites are: 1. Corrado (any) the muscular looks are unique no other car compares to the styling. 2. 205 Gti i had a 1.6 and the handling was superb very nimble and responsive, i had a limited edition sorrento green with full leathers as standard, power steering and black carpet. 3. Series one love the factory look 4. Golf clippers, doesnt everyone go through that phase :)
