RACK 0 Posted February 1, 2005 A lady friend of mine has asked me to fit some crystal headlamps to her Driver. I'm guessing it's just a couple of bolts holding the light in and an easy job. I can get the C's out in a couple of mins so the golf shouldn't be too much bother. Can any confirm this, and give a few tips? Thanks RACK
JBOB 0 Posted February 1, 2005 Its really simple. Just take the grill off and theres 4 bolts for each light.
RACK 0 Posted February 1, 2005 Nice one, I wasn't sure if the grill needed to come off or not. Thanks loads RACK

Rpmayne 0 Posted February 1, 2005 If its anything like changing the headlights on my old 16v mk2, the fixing or adjustment studs have these plastic bits which lock in somehow. Abit hazy now but remember them breaking easily. Stealers sell them separate though.
RACK 0 Posted February 1, 2005 Does the grill just clip off like the C or is it held in by screws?
theRuler 0 Posted February 1, 2005 i think it clips on i recall having to cable tie mine on, when the clips broke. you'll see when you come to do it.
