Project Red(Still going strong)

Recommended Posts

Some of you may remember this Corrado from this link

viewtopic.php?t=19079

Jims g60 was interested in the car but in the end decided to stick with his G60.

Well I decided to contact the seller and have a look.

The car hasn`t seen polish for some time but thats really about the worst of it

It is a 95 M plate Vr6 with two previous owners,it has good service history most of it done by a local garage to the lady I bought it from.

The best bit is of course the interior having fully electric heated black leather 8)

Here are the first pics of the car looking dirty and unpolished :(

Just wait till you see it when its clean. :!:

There may be the odd pic of my other Raddo in there too

very 8)

Got any plans for it, other than a polish?

The clear rear lights on the blue one look good; will you put a red set on the red car?

Are you starting your own fleet? - joke. :0

StuartFZR400, Bally, Cheers guys.Belive it or not I am going to sell the Storm and keep the Red car

I know the storm is going to be a classic one day but I want a car I can drive daily without too much worry.Every time I return to the Storm I have to check to see if the rear badge is still there :!:

I feel the red car is more me it has done 100k and is so smooth it is easily the best VR6 I have driven (and this is my fourth, seventh Corrado) :!:

I will return the Storm to standard and put,the Fk lights,Lupo wipers, uprated loom, bulbs,Millenium steering wheel and Sony ICE into the new car 8)

Flash red cleans and polishes up really well and will look immaculate when finished a few dings to sort out but I know a guy locally that can work magic on dents :!:

Happy days

Well 10 years old today 100k miles and still going strong.Been busy with some serious elbow grease polishing furiously. 8)

But car beginning to really shape up now as you can see from the new pics, some before and after shots really show how faded the C was.

Now looking good only bonnet and bit of passenger side to do.

Some very minor paintwork needs tidied and the interior will be coming out for a full valet

Hopefully a set of coilovers will sort out the ride height and I`ve got some wheels up my sleeve for her

Here are some new pics with the addition of the new streamlined Sky dish.

This car is my favourite Corrado so it`s time to start doing some more work on her.A few small areas of bodywork need tidied and the side rubbing strips are going. Will eventually have the whole car painted but not needing that yet.New wheels are here and a lowering kit is on the cards. 8) Thinking I don`t really want to go for coilovers as once they are on and the ride height is adjusted, I never adjust them again.Thinking along the lines of koni`s and eibach springs only thing is the reduction in ride height is a bit hit and a miss( 40mm drop what if it`s not low enough??)

I really don`t want crash and bang suspension, something with a bit of a more refined ride.Had Koni coilovers before and they were good if expensive(on my old car now Cazzas VR) 8) .Gonna strip the interior out and fully clean and feed the Recaros as they deserve it.

Thanks Jim.Been doing some wee bits and pieces to it nothing dramatic, new wheels and suspension going on in the next week so should be a big improvement over the 4x4 look :D

The car has never missed a beat,I bet you are really kicking yourself for not taking it on :(
