samm_cvr6 0 Posted February 8, 2005 Anyone know how the later- 03? spec got 20bhp more? Just a remap? :D :) :)
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted February 8, 2005 A revised turbo is the main reason. My mate's just ordered his (company car) and was boasting about it yesterday....218bhp, 369ft/lb (old one was 184bhp with 288ft/lb) torque, 0-60 in 7.1 seconds (factory quotes), although Evo managed a best of 6.1 to 60 and 16 seconds to 100mph, and that was an auto! So basically it's as fast a VR6!
samm_cvr6 0 Posted February 9, 2005 wow, I thought the new one was only 204bhp? hmm, makes you wonder what a remapped manual one will be capable of.
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted February 9, 2005 The new old one (LOL!) was updated to 204bhp just prior to the current Bangle styled 5 series. 5 & 3 30ds are now 218bhp!
NormanCoal 0 Posted February 10, 2005 The new shape 3 due to be released soon is rumoured to have the 3L twin T engine from the current 535 - then you'll know what quick is (for a diesel of course)
Neil VR6 0 Posted February 10, 2005 The 330D is a bit of a stump puller, so much in-gear acceleration!
samm_cvr6 0 Posted February 10, 2005 something like 425 pounds of torque LOL, it's not just quick for a diesel, it's quick full stop, looking forward to seeing the in gear times.
