Help !!!!!! Beeping when cornering

Can someone tell me if I should stop worrying?

 

When I drive round a sharp bend (it has to be quite sharp), left or right something beeps???

 

It seems to come from the dash area, no warning lights come on and the performance doesnt seem to change?

 

Has anyone else had this problem? Is it a problem?

That's the oil surge warning buzzer and yes it is a problem as it basically means your head, crank and piston rings are momentarily starved of oil.

my mate had this problem, oil was leaking out of the front sensor, nearly emptied the whole lot over a couple of weeks.

replacement sensor cost under a tenner, puls we did an oil change at the same time to be on the safe side.

I've had this too and posted a message here :) it was just that the oil level was low - topped it up and that sorted it :)

Anyone know where a baffled sump can be had from?

I know Darren @ G-Werks can source the Schrick baffled sumps for the G60 - I assume they produce one for the VR6 and that Darren could order it in for you?

You can get a sump gasket/baffle from VAG for the 4 Cyls which works with the original sump but I think you'll have to get an aftermarket for the VR...

You can also get the sump gasket baffle from GSF car parts for the 4 cylinder. That'll do the trick. However your profile doesn't say whether you have a 4 cylinder or a VR6

ihad the exact same thing happen to me a few weeks back, my oil filter had a crack in it and i had lossed alot of oil..

Andi - That looks more like where a mod has edited it, namely VR6 not an actual signiture but your the boss and I may be wrong!!!!

Trust me Blue_Joemy signature's been like that for nearly a year. :)

 

Not to worry, I've done the same thing myself.

 

I've seen baffled sumps for other cars selling for £300 or more!

Surely it isn't a big job baffling your existing one?
