Dash Light

Come to turn my lights on earlier, and noticed something wasn't right. All my dash had lit up but the speedo was a lot dimmer than the rest of the gauges???

 

Has a bulb gone?

 

Also if it has how hard is it to take the clocks out to check?

 

Really pist off with the car at the min too, I've got no clutch, a whinging cam tensioner and a mate who can't seem to find time to re-build my engine :mad:

 

Now my moan is over, could someone please help :cry:

my speedo seems dull compared to the rest too :?

 

should be pretty easy to replace the bulb i think?

yeah sound like the middle of the 3 bulbs has gone... easy to replace just a bit of a pain! mine went some time ago and I had to use a lower wattage bulb so center is still a bit dimmer than the rest - kinda looks cool though :)

Nice to know it's not to much hassle then. What do I need to do, take the dash out (is this just a matter of undoing the 4 screws holding the clocks in) and just find the bulb?

yup. The bulb is accessible from the rear of the clocks, so you don't even need to open up the instrument cluster... 8)

 

TIP: drop the steering wheel to its lowest setting... makes working on the clocks a lot easier... 8)
