hi

own a 2.0 16V, considering a VR6, are they worth it?

what are the pros/cons, also is mpg 28? , only do approx 5k a year

the better noise is worth the drop in mpg IMHO............besides they aint too thirsty for their engine size and the fuel is the least of your worries in a VR6........buy the best you can afford as there aint such a thing as a cheap VR :twisted:

My MPG is Av between 22 - 26 MPG thats a mix of town and motorway but mostly town

 

If i rag the car i can see 14MPG

 

worth noting, i drove from Birmingham (M6/M1) yesterday to Northampton aprox 55 miles, drove at between 55/60 MPH and seen a return of 33.2MPG.

For a 10 yeah old 2.9Ltr car i think thats great!

Yep, drive a VR with a little care and it returns reasonable MPG. I regually get 28-32mpg with non-agressive driving, plant the loud peddle to the floor and watch it drop.

Paul, There is no-way you rag your storm unless its with a spit and a polish. :lol: I was gonna make a comment abt a toast spread but might be abit untasteful for this time of the evening :lol:

Ave 29.2 at the mo and no worries. sweet as a nut :D

Depending on how the car gets driven, my Storm will give me anything between 18 and 35 MPG. But I reckon 27MPG for most driving would be about the average.

I quite often get 36mpg on the motorway sitting at around 60-65

Around town its about 30mpg-fifth gear is just too good!

Yep, managed 35.4 mpg the other day and ave as stated 29+. performance and economy to boot. Almost makes good sence to go and get your self a VR :)
