Some garages! Bar stewards....

Took the C in to get all my mounts changed yesterday - they told me they only managed the front and gbox one and then charged me £105!!!

 

Then I step into the car and notice immediately the driver seat handle has been snapped off, the rubber seal on the sill has been torn a bit and the rear driver side door card was sitting out too!! I mean FS!!! Are the seat handles purchasable from VW - or is it a case of someone here helping me out?

 

And I wonder why I am so anxious to leave my car in the hands of a garage... :roll: Where do Scottish owners here take their car?

'If you want something doing properly'...hate taking anything to the 'professionals', esp. stealers. Last time went to a so called VW specialist got royally shafted.....never again!

just found the scottish garages thread - thats that problem sorted. any ideas on the seat handle?

Try Daves16v, I think he makes seat handles.

could be worse :( - i took mine to a garage near me and they did an emitions test and told me that my engine was iminent for blowing up and they would have to get a new engine or scrap her (i didn't know anything about cars then lol) - she had a slight fuel mix problem and a blocked cat - she still runs good now - still... i feel for you dude - good luck

seat release handles ARE available from VW... (got new ones on my car.... ;) )

Beat me to it Henny. Same thing happened to me once ages back - haven't got the part number I just told them to get a new one for me pdq

And yeah, it really grips me when they b****r up other bits of the car.

To be fair though my present dealers have always taken good care of mine - think they know how fanatical I am LOL
