NickVR6 0 Posted April 3, 2005 Just been offered a set of brand new Ronal R7's from a German chap. Seems very reputable on ebayage. He wants £249, which seems very good as Ronal are a good brand arn't they? They dont make these anymore, but they look like they'd rock on my raddo, anybody seen them tried before or have an opinion?? They are 8x17 and i have stnd suspension so looking at the other thread they should fit ok, no idea on tyres though, spose im looking at something slightly wider than the 7x17 stnd choice 205/40, maybe 225 40? My wallets twitching  so please give me a thumbs up or down on these babies!! ?????

chrishill 0 Posted April 4, 2005 could look quite nice so long as the 8" ones arent too 'domed' if you see what i mean
Jimjam 0 Posted April 4, 2005 I like them and I think they'd suit a C.
ZippyVR6 0 Posted April 4, 2005 its a good look. 5 spokes suit a rado. and those have style. not to loud.
OSV 0 Posted April 4, 2005 Forget the 225s you'll have big arch issues without costly mods
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted April 4, 2005 Yeah they're quite nice, look a bit like the OZ Polaris. As OSV says, 225 = rub central over bumps, particularly on the rear arch lips. 215/40 is the max on standard suspension but 205/40 better if lowered.
NickVR6 0 Posted April 13, 2005 Thanks guys and sorry for the delayed reaction!! I take on the domed point, but i think thats only on 15/16" versions, 17s kinda stretch the centre flat! and thanks for the pm replies to tyre worries kev. wheels are on their way, pictures will follow....OH YES!
