digga 0 Posted April 14, 2005 Just bought a VR6 and 2 days later I have problems!! On a motorway run today I noticed a graunching sound coming from the gearbox when in 5th - but only when my foot is off the accelerator. Foot back down and it's running fine... I can feel the vibration through the gear stick and it doesn't sound healthy at all. Riley 0 Posted April 14, 2005 probably worth checking the gear oil level. on the 8v/16v boxes 5th sits highes and is first to suffer from low oil level. i could be wrong :oops: it could be any no. of things really. someone more vr6 orientated will be along shortly to help. :lol: neil.
