More dynamat fun

Shilakadaddy, did you mat under the rear seats too mate?

I tripled layered it there because the exhaust is right underneath! I also put some sound absorbent pads on top and err, the seats only just went back in but it's worth it, LOL!

Yeah you can't really tell from the pics because that brown bread stuff is really shiney... but it is actually there too - only single layer though. To be honest its my engine that makes the most noise, rather than my exhaust, so I think when I take my dash out (again!) to sort the wiring, I'll maybe try adding some to the bulk head... although I didn't see much room for any to go last time :?

Thought I'd resurrect this thread as I've started the task of getting rid of all rattles! I currently have no interior what so ever (no dash, or even headlining)... so I'm wondering where the most benificial areas to apply the soundproofing stuff I have left is?

So far I've done whats shown in the picture above (Boot, under rear seats and rear quarter panels) and both doors in a single layer... Where next?

Edit: Picture from the previous page:

I've got some dynamat left over from my old car, so hopefully that'll be enough to cover a door if one of my window motors brakes... just refitted my door cards today, and the door feels a lot heavier, and makes a much more definate 'cluck' when it closes... yet to tell about noise reduction tho
