sawing my gearstick...

i have put a momo gear nob on and the throw is now mega long :lol:

 

i want to cut the gearstick down an inch or two, is it detachable from the car so i can put it in a clamp or am i gonna be sawing it in the car :lol: :lol:

 

any thoughts lads?

get yourself a short shift! contact either chris vr6nos (currently known as furkicharged vr6nos :?) or h8rra. I've got one with a momo knob on and its great!

well I've got chris's old car and it was already fitted...so free! :)

 

you'll have to ask them for an exact price as i'm not sure but they offer them on an exchange+cash basis and its going to do you far more favours than chopping the gearstick down yourself

Just received a pm!

£45 exchange inc postage and you can specify how agressive or mild you want the throw

If it's not right and you want it shorter or longer just send it back and it will be adjusted and taylored accordingly free of charge.

You can thread your stick while its on the car (use a M12 Die) then cut off the top of the gearstick with a haccsaw...

Very easy to do... it works, its quick & its free. Its up to you

i fitted a momo gearknob and it made it shorter than the std one....

 

 

what have you fitted to yours?? ?
