First check you could do is unplug each sensor and test for an open circuit, or high resistance in one of them.

If there ok, remove each sensor and clean the ends, and also the rotor. and replace.

If still no joy take it VW and get to put it on 1551/ 5051 and get a code of it. :D

Agreed - I remember removing mine from front NS.... took a hammer (club) and a screwdriver and chisel to remove it .... didnt look to good when I had removed it ..... getting the new one in was fun too

Had me beauty hooked up to a 1551 last night and it says that my offside front and nearside rear sensors are faulty.

The front one is no problem (about 27 quid from German & Swedish) but apparently the rear one is hideously expensive and has to be a geniune part.

Anybody know where I can get a rear one from at a sensible price? :?

Have you tried just cleaning them out? Give the sensors a wipe and make sure the teeth in the sensor ring arent clogged.
