Jim 2 Posted May 13, 2005 Oh god.. why must they do it! You know as it stands, i've lost respect for companies that disregard their sports car rootes and basically just make an SUV so that they can grab a share of the fat rich american SUV buying market place. Who next.. TVR?! :|
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted May 13, 2005 Yes but if you're a company on the breadline, you don't look a gift horse in the mouth. GM and Ford are both in serious debt too.... mind you, the new Focus ST should be good with it's 5 cylinder turbo lump under the hood. It's 10 seconds quicker round the ring than the now defunct Focus RS!
Neverite 0 Posted May 13, 2005 i have no problem with them building this(not that they would care if i did have a problem) if its going to put a big wedge of cash in the bank and help them build more great cars. sometimes you have to sell out to keep with your roots... daft as that sounds. Tempest 0 Posted May 13, 2005 Being Dutch, I obviously feel affected, but as the report on Pistonheads says, Spyker are building a new factory, that means new jobs, and we could do with more of those at the moment all over Europe (what with the former eastern EU countries, China and India all threatening to take our jobs at the moment).
