TomB 0 Posted May 23, 2005 I was poking about in the scappy over the weekend, and saw a set of gauges in a high end (2.4?) Audi (mid-90s saloon), that seemed like the right sort of dimensions for a 'rado. I forgot to take a photo, but there were 3 gauges in the console, one for oil pressure (in bars), one for oil temperature and a third. They'll be of no interest to me, but if anyone else thinks they might be of use, then I can investigate further next time I'm down there. Cheers, Tom
Jim 2 Posted May 23, 2005 Sounds like the kind of setup that Henny had... not sure on that though?
h100vw 0 Posted May 23, 2005 Tom I have watched several sets go for nearly £50 on ebay. Might be worth getting them anyway if they are cheap enough. Don't forget the pressure sender on the filter mount 17mm and if the oil temp reads to 170 degrees you should get the temp sender too 13mm. Will have a green and black wire on it I sold some on ebay in 2 hours for 35 delivered, clearly too cheap  Don't offer any advice on fitting them like I did, never ending emails from a non-electrician. double   Gavin

Henny 0 Posted May 23, 2005 the Audi 80 ones are angled towards the driver too... 8) Basically the same idea as Andy's got but with the gauges set in at an angle rather than flush... :)

Cheers, Tom Tom, get as much of the wiring as possible off the gauges. There are a couple of plugs under the centre console. Disconnect there rather than cut the wiring loom.
