GSF and SVG will do major panels, bonnets, wings, lights etc.

Most insurance companys now hav to use SVG parts (non gen but same standard) to cut cost of repairs. As not to write them off.

It cant be light damage if needs all that thats nearly a whole front end mate. are you sure nothing will repair.

Only use VAG panels. The steel quality of pattern panels is not up to the same standard, as I found out to my cost with a MK1 Golf restoration I did some years ago.

Sorry i meant euro car parts not GSF :?

SVG is manafacture of quality panels made to insurance standards, i think they are only available to trade. Many of the major ins companies use them, direct line, churchill etc.

As regards to price against salavge £2000-2200. I dont expect to you to get £3000. And it doesnt matter what you insured for either. :(

If it's not your fault then you are entitled to a full repair of the car or the cost of a car in exactly the same condition as yours before the crash. So if they write it off use any photos you have of it before the crash and sales ads to make sure you get as much cash as possible. They will make you offers that are below the cost of a new one, DON'T accept any less than what it will cost to either get yours back to pre crash condition or a same quality replacement. Keep refusing till they offer you enough.

as nigel says make sure its done by a main dealer or VW-approved paintshop...............and as far as i can remember you are legally entitled to getting it done by the manufacturers agent's/approved paintshops
