Blue led dash lights

I recently bought some blue leds from ultra leds but when i tried to fit em,they didnt fit.The 1s i was sent are the same as golf m2 type but the corrado 1s seem back to front if you know what i mean?

Where do you get yours from and what did yiou ask for?

Where are you fitting the lights. I have changed all of mine to blue except Sliders and lighter from Ultra LEDs and the only ones which i had to mod were the indicators. That is apart from fitting Resistors!

flusted, i got mine off ebay mate, so i'm not sure what you've had off ultraleds , mine were a direct replacement

i've also done the switches ,lighter,and lcds

are you talking about the 3 bulbs/led's at the top of the clock unit when you open it up? I'd be interested to know exactly what I need to change these as I've got no clue about whats what with them, can you get a direct replacement with a resistor built in if needed?

i got those top 3 leds (top clock illumination) from ebay and all the others for the switches etc from maplins , no resistors needed

 

the most fiddly to do were the electric windows

 

still a worthwhile update tho, most impressive is to change the lcd colour

I'll have a butchers on ebay, what should i be searching for? I dont think 'corrado top clock illuminatin bulbs' would give me many results :wink:

msg this guy, i got them for 8.99 for the 3 blue leds but i cant see that he lists the c anymore, maybe they will be the same fit as a golf mk3 ? , anyhoo he will know

yeah I am mate, and very good they are too, just the bulbs arent quite bright enough :)

Well, I'm not too sure but I think I might have used two layers of blue filter...! If I have, you could just remove one... ;) Or am I being dappy, and there's only one layer of filter? :roll:

yeah, theres just one layer and you sent me a spare in case it was too bright, very happy with them mate, its just the bulbs at the top could do with being a bit brighter I think!

i did my lcd's red and they are way too dark without the rear illumation, so i wired the lcds bulbs to an ignition live, much better for the daytime, i kept the top illumination on the fader
