VR6 calipers on a G60

VR6 calipers look alot bigger than my G60 ones, is there any chance i can use the vr6 calipers on my g60 and keep g60 carriers? its looks like it should work.

they are the same size,although some vr6 owners have converted to the 288's off the later golfs

vr6 has 280mm discs and the g60 has 280mm discs unless my maths are wrong then they are the same size,the only difference is the vr6 is 5 stud,so the calipers would be the same

yeah they both use the same size disk but to look at the vr6 has alot deeper caliper.

Yep, exactly the same caliper as Dazzy says, unless you are comparing with a late VR Golf with 288's...

I fitted VR calipers to my G60,identical components on both cars.

unless my g60 has 16v calipers or somthing, the vr has just a flexi pipe going into it, mine have flexi, and then a little copper pipe goin into the caliperand there gold

Yeah - thats the early G60 calipers, they changed on the M chassis...

 

Same size as the later ones just a different hose configuration and use a shorter hose with the same fitment on each end...

so would the tt 312mm fit on the g60 easy enough?

The carriers might do (not sure), but the disks are all 5-stud.

 

I believe Mr. Charged has aquired some 312mm 4-stud disks from somewhere tho...
