Engine problems again

Recommended Posts

Hey every one hope you can help me with a little problem. Just got a 2ltr 16v and the water temp is reading fine but oil temp is high about 102-104 when crusing and 110 in traffic.

But also every so often when driving it is fine then it will splutter twice then carry on as normal. Could this be a timing problem or ht leads, spark plugs?

It isn't using any water or oil. Thanks for any help

hi mate.

(( delete ur other thread ! ))

Sounds like a slight miss-fire, maybe you should give the car a bit of a service if you haven't in a while, replace the plugs and leads and do an oil change...see if that helps.

The oil temps seem slightly high but nothing major, the 110 in traffic is unusuall though i think, if an oil filter change does no good maybe you could think about changing the oil cooler?.
