Fan not workin upto speed

On setting 1, 2 and 3 the fan works but not very powerful

 

Setting 4 is slightly better, but still not pushin alot of air out

 

The air gets pretty warm and the different exit positions all work (eg windscreen, footwell etc)

 

Any ideas, Ive put up with it over summer, but is annoyin now havin to wait ages for the fan to de-mist the windscreen

Something similar to me. Fan works fine on 1 & 4 but 2 & 3 are the same as 1! Again, all the exit positions are fine and there is plenty of heat. I don't really mind it much cos 4 is still powerful if I need it.

try pulling the knob off and cleaning the contacts, they often are just dirty (late interior)

Take th efan out from the passenger side under dash. It may be the bottom bearing needs looking at. A bit of light bearing grease will help. Surprised the thermal fuse is holding out.

 

Also while in their, check what sort of "12 volts" supply is across the fans contacts in the connector, brown wire ( earth ) to ??, when the fan switch is switched on.

hey guys i have a similar problem, except that my vents are piss poor, the footwell and screen work fine on all settings 1-4 but the vents seem to push sod all air out, any ideas wat this could be???
