Sunroof parts

Hello folks,

 

Finally got round to investigating why the sunroof wont work on my vr6. The left hand side runner/sliding thing has broke so only part of it moves with the wire when the sunroof is operated.

 

Is it possible to get a new sliding thing?? How does it attach to the control wire?? I assume it is a wire that pulls / pushes the sliders around?? Wheres the best place to get one.

 

Id also like to get a new sunroof seal, where should i get that??

 

The top of the switch for the sunroof control has been removed, can i just buy the top or do i need a whole new switch??

 

Also how do i get my headlining out??

Thanks for the reply, the link provides some very useful info for removing the headlining and getting to the sunroof mechanism.

 

What i cant find or cant understand (probably the latter!) is the name of the shiny sliding thing that im on about? And if it available seperately or does it come attached to something else, like the cables??
