1600miles and everyone is hiding

Recommended Posts

1600 miles in 4 days and we only broke down once!!!

Wiper motor packed in on the M3 in rush hour in the worst rain I have seen in months :(

Picked up by brakedown and delivered to a mates in London. 1 trip to volkspares and 20 mins later and we were off. Up the A1 the across the A66 and up to Glasgow for a night on the piss then up the A82 to Oban and Fort William. Then returned 2 Days later all the way back down to cornwall and guess what I only saw 1 c the whole trip in a car park in Oban. Was a very nice J plate 16valver, parked in Combie court, if you are on here she looks sweet.

Took a detour up Glen Nevis and took a few snaps. Scared the shit out of a photographer who was taking picks of someone on a trials bike as we screamed past putting the c through her paces on the windy roads. Great fun.

Well I think you were all hiding from the rain but here are some picks of our works in progress not to mention some fantastic scenery.

One of the biggest drives I have done in one go and still got out fresh as a proverbial daisy. Comfortable to drive still with loads of poke and only used 220 quids worth of BPs finest.

Only had her for 6 months and was starting to think is she worth it, but that trip has changed my mind will be nursing her till I can no longer afford it !!!!!!

Great roadtrip. I'm going on holiday to Fort William next year, I'm completely addicted to Scotland, the roads and scenery are awesome. I'd love to take the Corrado up some day (when it's actually working).

Fantastic! Did something similar in my G60 last year - up to Oban, across to Mull, around Mull, then across to Inverness, then to Aberdeen via Aviemore, around the Aberdeen area then back home.

Great great roads up there as well. If I had the money I'd have never sold the Corrado (or my Mk1 GTI), as nice and "grown up" as the Mk4 is, it will NEVER be a patch on either of those two :(
