rolling road a 4x4?

guys ive just realised how to the likes of stleath, rolling road a 4x4 like phats golf on the rolling road day??

 

do you have to disconnect rear drive shaft or what?

 

shows u how slow i think its only just clicked now lol

Hehe.. yeah.. there is something you can pop out on the haldex (i've no idea what) but it took Paul all of 2 minutes and a trolley jack to do! Seemed to work just fine! :)

You unplug the haldex Electronic connector, as its all electronically control it wont work without a signal from the ECU

Ah, riiiight...

 

Yeah, just disconnect the Haldex rear electronically controlled diffy thingy... like wot the man says...! :lol: I'm so techie... ;)

is the a way round on rallye's?

 

No cause its would turn the proshaft connecting plate not the wheels. unless you lock it up somehow,

 

 

And no the 4motion set up only powers the rears when the front traction is lost, so on a 4wd RR you'd still have to disconnect it.

syncro is mechanical

 

haldex is electronically controlled.

 

so no, you can't do it on a rallye, you'd have to remove a section of the prop.
