Stan 24v 0 Posted December 13, 2005 As above. My mate has one in his A6 and has a leak from the oil breather, according to Audi. they want nearly £200 to do the job, but the part is only £20. devils_advocate 0 Posted December 13, 2005 ive had exactly the same problem on my golf 1.8T, did it myself, wasnt very hard although golfs have different engine layout. At first i thought it was leaking from the T connector and was just cleaning the spray off the gear box, but i soon found the split in the hose. It was also causing my engine oil level to rise (i thought theres no way my engine can be producing oil) It was probably caused by some sort of vacuum, ever since i replaced the pipe thats been fine also.
