RAC vehicle status check or HPI check?

First time I've considered doing one of these since I knew the previous owners of both 2nd hand cars I've had in the past. the HPI check is £40 and the RAC one is £25, although it says its powered by HPI... anyone know if theres a difference in how deep they delve?

It looks like RAC own HPI and offer a discount on the check to members.

HPI won't show any repairs funded privately, so watch out for that.

 

The 100 point AA/RAC inspection is probably the better option imo.

well yeah kev, money/time allowing i'd get it RAC/AA inspected but I've got to move quick on this one ;)
