PhatVR6 0 Posted December 19, 2005 bummer, just realised I'd have to have my doors painted :-( might forget this idea for a while then

vr6storm 0 Posted December 19, 2005 me no likee............FFS the C has one of the best looking o/e mirrors IMHO
PhatVR6 0 Posted December 19, 2005 nah, they're awful, they're too big and they're used on TVRs!
bcstudent 0 Posted December 19, 2005 they're used on TVRs! Is that a bad thing? Well there goes my 5.0 V8 TVR engine conversion!
CoxyLaad 0 Posted December 19, 2005 I have to say the mirrors on the corrado are one of my favourite bits!
rmn 0 Posted December 20, 2005 But JD's car Rocks! It si a motorsport themeed car adn hence looks cool with the motorsport parts like carbon bits ap 6pot brakes etc
scottgroovez 0 Posted December 20, 2005 I enquired about the Stroeve mirrors a while back. Apparantly the company that makes them have gone bust and weren't available at the time.
PhatVR6 0 Posted December 20, 2005 looks like I'll have to make my own then
dub envy 0 Posted December 20, 2005 Those mirrors on JD's car are so ugly. They look like stupid pixie ears.
PhatVR6 0 Posted December 20, 2005 I'm not fitting them for looks. I'm fitting them so I can go faster.
steve_16v 0 Posted December 21, 2005 Bit max power for my liking, can't see them making much difference to the aerodynamics either, besides weren't the corrado wing mirrors used on a mclaren f1 as well, pretty sure there was a pic on here recently of an f1 with wing mirrors that were from a corrado, or at least looked very similar? PhatVR6 0 Posted December 21, 2005 I didn't ask anyone if they liked them, I asked where I could get some.
PhatVR6 0 Posted December 21, 2005 also, I have a very narrow driveway (well, the carport part of it), I'm sick of folding my mirrors in!
steve_16v 0 Posted December 21, 2005 I didn't ask anyone if they liked them, I asked where I could get some. that's fair enough but even with an R32 engine it's unlikely there will be more than a couple of mph difference at the top end anyway I'm not arguing, it's your car, you spend the money on it and can do whatever you think's best (looks like it's gonna be awesome when it's finished) also, I have a very narrow driveway (well, the carport part of it), I'm sick of folding my mirrors in! good point, I always worry about mine when squeezing through traffic
PhatVR6 0 Posted December 22, 2005 hmm, just spotted that TT wong mirros are mounting like corrado ones. I wonder how big they are?
gusto 0 Posted December 23, 2005 I think they are cool and might replace my dtm ones with some of these! Cant see a thing with the dtms so these might be better??
belfastfumanchu 0 Posted December 23, 2005 Don't like them, makes the Corrado look like a mouse. Stick a tail on the back and you'd not know the diff.
chrishill 0 Posted December 23, 2005 hmm, just spotted that TT wong mirros are mounting like corrado ones. I wonder how big they are? I noticed that when I was parked up next to one at work, they're about the same size, if not a 'touch' bigger.
PhatVR6 0 Posted December 23, 2005 scratch those then. I've designed to design my own and then have them made up in carbon.
