What a great day out! Weather looked a bit ropey at first, but as soon as it got to the afternoon, it was scorching.

 

Great to have met so many of you (see picture later) and great to finally have a chance driving a VR6 - I owe Chris (2CC) a huge thanks for letting me drive his car, and a big thanks for Andy (AndyVR6) taking us out and scaring the locals with the roar from his K&N kitted VR6 - the noise was really something else.

 

Anyway.. I was a bit crappy with the camera and only took a handful of pictures - meant to take pictures of all the forum peoples cars, but only actually ended up snapping 2CC's, AndyVR6's, and Bluslc's cars.. never mind, but heres what I got. Have much higher resolution versions if any of you want em :

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Left to right in the final picture is.... Jim (me!), 2CC, AndyVR6, Mark16v, Supercharged (proper bo!), BANANA MAN, endor71, and majik.

 

Sorry for those who didn't get in on the pic, or for those of you that never managed to meet up on the day - we were hunting around for people with Corrado Forum stickers but obviously missed you.

I've fixed the last picture.. Chris (2CC) was facing the floor, so I photoshopped his head on the picture we took prior to Majik getting in on the photo where he was actually looking up. Now we have a whole row of smiling Corrado Forum peeps :D

The first C I saw on the way down was endor71, who was going fairly fast! - I put my foot down but shat myself when I saw 140 on the clock (G60 still pulling) and let him past (the nutter :lol: ) - sorry about that Chris!

 

Bought a few bits of club merchendise and purchased some Koni TA's off Majik

 

Big thanks to all the people who organised the event, especially James and Debbie Shillaw, was a good day!

Got 35 mpg there and back today, and the journey back wasn't exactly slow... :twisted:

or do what i do jims16v.........fill up when it hits half a tank then its only around £25-£30 per hit thats between 150-180 miles a week :wink:

 

 

BTW AndyVR6 thats a nice VR 8) you've got there once you get the suspension lowered it'll look even better

I thought it was a brilliant day nice to see all the lads off the forum ( 2cc, supercharged,andyvr6, majik, mark16v,endor71, jim16v, stevemac, guy I'm sure I'm missing people out here :D The thing that had me drewling at the mouth was the guy that had just finished fitting the TT dash in the corrado it looked superb and only took him a week ba*tard :D

I'd be keen to see what it looks like once he has got it all back together again and finished. Incredible that he has done that much in a week!

Yeah I loved it I would be keen on doing but dont really fancy going through what he had to to get it in his allergic reaction to the plastic welding sounded nasty. If I were to get it done I would pay someone else to do the work as I would probably cock it up big time :D Jim we'll have to arrange that trip down to santa pod the likely dates are 5th,19th and 26th of october and the last date this year being 2nd of november but it's probably going to be really shitty weather as usual in nov so either or all dates in oct sounds good to me :D

I'm glad I made it to the show.. was some very nice cars there.. shame there weren't any for sale in my price range :(

 

Sukhs C is amazing! some very nice cars chaps, shame I had to leave early (1pm) saying that my car made a few peeps stop to have a look :D
