ardandy 0 Posted January 16, 2006 Thinking about getting a Reiger Grill put on. Now I've seen the replicas on ebay but is there any difference between the two? Is it better to stick the the real deal?
Jim 2 Posted January 16, 2006 Just get the real deal.. its not like they cost the earth ;)
ardandy 0 Posted January 16, 2006 Best place to get em from? Is there any difference? Quality issue?
Jim 2 Posted January 16, 2006 Use the search man! :) It took me all of 20 seconds to find a thread telling me where to buy one from! http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewto ... ger+grille
ardandy 0 Posted January 16, 2006 I did, just wondered on difference between genuine and replicas. No one seems to have one.
GIXXERUK 0 Posted January 16, 2006 i would go with a genuine reiger , i have one and the quality is spot on
gradeAfailure 0 Posted January 16, 2006 I have one of the JOM ones from eBay and the quality seems fine - plus it was half the price of the genuine Rieger! Not fitted it yet as it's not sprayed, but I have noticed that the upper clips aren't actual clips as on the std grille, but flat tabs. Is the geniune article the same? GIXXERUK 0 Posted January 16, 2006 gradeAfailure, yeah its the same on the geniune article dave, just flat tabs
gradeAfailure 0 Posted January 16, 2006 This is the one I got... Clicka clicka! Bit cheaper than the genuine Rieger... ;)
GIXXERUK 0 Posted January 16, 2006 i cant comment on that one as i've never seen one in the flesh, the reiger one is good quality but that looks an identical copy to me

gradeAfailure 0 Posted January 16, 2006 Errrr, if you look at where is says "Post To" at the top of the ad it says he posts to the European Union - it's the postage of 8.60Euro that is for Germany only. :) I paid 58.80Euro in total, which worked out at a shade over £40. too hot 0 Posted January 16, 2006 Errr, just got a mail from him but it`s all in German :( seems to relate to Bank details, did you use electronic transfer or paypal or credit card :?:
gradeAfailure 0 Posted January 16, 2006 PayPal, and I use AltaVista's Babelfish for translation - but I speak a little German anyway! Ask him if he's happy to communicate in English, I'm sure it won't be a problem - just don't use slang or colloquialisms and he'll understand you fine! too hot 0 Posted January 17, 2006 gradeAfailure, Got it sorted now £42 all in,looks a good deal, considering the genuine Reiger ones are anything from £70-£120. Should be here by the weekend too
ardandy 0 Posted April 8, 2006 Any news on the ebay ones over the Riegers? Dont want to spend £40 for a cheap copy.
Bobby 0 Posted April 8, 2006 just fitted a jom one and the grill was an arse to fit i would recommend trial fit it first, the fit is way of compared to the reiger one i fitted to a mates, best to heat up the grill and flex it back towards to lights before you get the grill painted otherwise you'll have to screw the ends down above the headlights. Anyone got front on pic of the jom fitted to their corrado?
ardandy 0 Posted April 8, 2006 So the Rieger was a better fit?
Stone0311 0 Posted April 9, 2006 Just fitted my JOM 1 - trial fitted it when i first got it and one of the holes it goes into needed really minor adjustment (maybe 0.5 mm with a round file). sent it go get painted and was really worried about the issues i would have when i came to fit it >>> it fits like a glove and looks superb :D
Bobby 0 Posted April 9, 2006 yeah the reiger was a better fit than the jom
