Catch_twotwo - Black G60

Recommended Posts

Well got this back in November... and it needed some work shall we say. 2 days after buying it I was down at g-werks with Darren for a full engine service, charger rebuild and some help with a few niggles.

So here's what it looked like when I got it... no laughing at the back it was a frozen day so the paintwork looks bad...

Still £850 for a G60

So couple of months later and a whole shedload of work.... here's what I've got so far.

This Saturday it's in for a few things with Darren again...

- New fuel lines

- Knock sensor

- SNS chip and 68mm pulley

- Boost return kit

- RSR breather

- Removal of Carbon Canester

- 5mm spacers all round

- Arch widening (probably)

- Brand new shiney front indicators

When it gets to Germany in a few weeks I've got a nice set of Hella LHD lights waiting to have the reflectors blackened around the edges and put on...... then... well who knows. Probably finsh off the pain down the bad side (South East meet people will know what I mean on that  )

Also the pictures are before I put on the 4 bar grill last night.... looks meaner at the front now. Just need an eyebrow and I'm happy.

Thanks for the comments...

For me it's an ongoing project.... so more to come I guess. Hoping that the tuning this weekend will give me an extra boost in power at the wheels. Although I'm not sure what to expect. I'll try and RR it in Germany at somepoint just to get an idea.

16v: You like the wheels.... I'm still unsure on them. Well see how they like the 5mm spacers this weekend and if all else fails eBay.de have some nice alloys...

You in Germany as well then :?: If so what area :?:

I know the pain of having a car with the steering wheel on the wrong side. Toll booths are a real pain

Ok.... back from a day at g-werks (thanks Darren, dong wonders as always)

- New fuel lines

- Knock sensor

- SNS chip and 68mm pulley

- RSR breather

- Brand new shiney front indicators

- Black temp sender replaced

- Replaced boot struts

Skipped a few bits incase it throws up some problems on the German TÜV....

It's pulling like a train now all through the rev range. Can't believe the quality of the new chip. Well worth it I'd day. It was pulling 15.5psi on the test runs so I'm well happy with it.

15.5 thats very good mate

Yeah I thought so as well pretty impressed overall.... Darren wanted to go round the block again. But I just think he loves that roundabout personally ;)

Want to get it RR'd again in Germany and see what it's kicking out at the wheels now it's been tuned a bit more.
