emmafwa 0 Posted January 23, 2006 :( Im sure my C is trying to bankrupt me this month, 2 new tyres, back box, road tax and now this. Is there anyway of testing that it could be the sensor before I buy one???

Walesy 0 Posted January 23, 2006 no, I think he meant that if your water is at the correct level, and temp, but the light is flashing then that would suggest that the sensor is at fault. :D

Don't think the tanks are much new, and there always seems to be one spare kicking around in someones garage on here, try a wanted ad. David.
Supercharged 2 Posted January 23, 2006 About £20 for a nice new one from the delaer... well worth it if the old one has gone yellow as you will be able to see the level again!
FTM1975 0 Posted February 7, 2006 was just wondering if you fixed this as i have a similar problem myself. Was thinking of swapping the bottle from my mk 2 golf as it is relativley new???
emmafwa 0 Posted February 8, 2006 No not yet, just keeping an eye on the water level atm. It is on the list of things to do when I get a free min  Emma
FTM1975 0 Posted February 8, 2006 have you tried 'bleeding it'. Running the engine with the water cap off and heaters on full bore and reving it a bit. it may blow out any air blocks you might have. Also have you checked the plug that goes into the top of the bottle. If this is unplugged or not connected properly the light flases constantly.... have tried both of these on mine but still got the flash!! am thinking of changing the water bottle this weekend. Let me know how you get on Geoff :afro: :afro: :afro: :afro:
