No.6 lead sparking.

Had the lead replaced a few months ago but it began sparking again a few weeks later. When ever it sparks it's causing a mis-fire a little.

 

What could be causing it?

Just been serviced with 6 new plugs. Could it be a faulty lead?

i seem to remember thats exactly how my problem started mate.

i had sparks on no. 6 and a slight misfire. that progressed to no.6 not working at all for a week or so basically. changed leads, plugs and coil pack in the end. is yours a coil pack or dizzy??

turns out my plugs were melting - no.6 was fekked!

have put higher temp rating plugs in and so far its running like a dream (fingers crossed, touch wood, etc, etc) we'll see how long it lasts!!!!

where is it leaking from? If at the plug end, maybe the lead was damaged when it was pulled off to change the plugs. If it is at the coil pack end, it could be time for a new coil pack. If from anywhere else along its length, again the lead is breaking down and needs replacement.

 

Someone else will be along in a minute to recommend the best leads.......

You can see it sparking just where the lead goes into the plug on the engine block. It ONLY happens when the car is cold.

Would it be due to moisture contaminating it.

The lead and plug is new?????????

Try pressing it on with a screwdriver t make sure the connection is good but I reckon you have a fauly lead there... not uncommon at all, Kevhaywire had to buy about 5 sets when he first bought his VR to get a set where every lead was ok...
