ardandy 0 Posted February 1, 2006 Nearly every problem I have with cars has usually something to do with a sensor! I was wondering, do manufacturers have recommended times to replace certain sensors? On a 13ish year old car I would imagine they're not quite as accurate as they once were? Is it recommended to replace certain ones to help iron out any engine smoothness issues? Best to leave it till you know something's fubar before you jump in with your chequebook! Approximate prices, off the top of my head! : Crank sensor - £140 Cam sensor - £40 Knock sensors (2 of) - £50 MAF sensor - £350 (?) dr_mat 0 Posted February 1, 2006 If they're faulty then it'll help, if they're not faulty it won't make the slightest bit of difference... These are not "wear" items..
