willg 0 Posted February 14, 2006 hey does anyone now if i have a rare colour for a corrarado vr6 as i have not ever seen another one, blackberry i have heard of but i think its a slightly different colour. colour code is LC4T had a quick look at the colour statistics and i think it only counts for around 2%, the dark blue was my favourite but i can't believe how many there are in that colour. incidently does anyone know how many actual vr6 corrado there are left in england, probably difficult one i know cheers Will 95 vr6
Jim 2 Posted February 14, 2006 Isn't that Twilight Violet..? Either way its definately one of the rarer (and better) colours but it certainly aint the rarest :)
willg 0 Posted February 14, 2006 think i meant corrado as well as twilight, looks more like i am typing with gloves on, do you know any thing about how many vr6 corrados are left in england
DEL VR6 0 Posted February 14, 2006 Blackberry is a lovely colour, and you dont really see that many about in that colour, although you dont see many Corrados about generally! Got any pics of your motor mate?
ZippyVR6 0 Posted February 14, 2006 What is the rarest? dusty mauve on the Campaigns?
Trig 0 Posted February 14, 2006 Didn't some valvers get Dusty Mauve as well? Thought I remembered one for sale on here a while back. Still a rare colour though.
Jim 2 Posted February 14, 2006 The colour on the Campaign is indeed unique to the Campaign. With regards to other rare colours.. one of the rarest (i've only ever seen once) belonged to someone on the CCGB though I don't remeber his name - Dom I think? It was a sort of Khaki colour but it got stolen and was never seen again. I've only ever seen that colour once and it was on that car! Another rare colour of course is the colour the LHD 16v we were advertising some time back on behalf of the guy from Karmann - the grey colour it was painted up in wasn't a unique colour (used across the VW range) but it was unique on the Corrado. The paint code sticker in the boot confirmed the colour code but it's not on the colour chart that we have for checking paint codes to names so was never a standard issue Corrado colour! Jim 2 Posted February 14, 2006 No one really knows how many Corrado's are left in the UK - its a virtually impossible number to guesstimate! Around 9,500 were originally bought here.. who knows how many have been imported, exported, smashed, trashed, etc..
bordeuxvr6 0 Posted February 14, 2006 Where do you find out the colour stats? Ive just got a vr6 in Bordeaux Pearl is that a rare colour?
Jim 2 Posted February 14, 2006 The link to the different colours available on the Corrado can be found at the bottom of our buyers guide here. Bordeaux Pearl isn't a particularly rare colour no but its a very nice one all the same :) And welcome to the forum!
Trig 0 Posted February 14, 2006 I have to say there really aren't many (if any) Corrado colours that I actually dislike. On the whole I think the C got a great (and large) sellection of colours. My Favourites... Ice Grey Violet Silver Dragon Green (Gotta be loyal to my beast! ;) )
Jim 2 Posted February 14, 2006 Agreed.. there really aren't many bad colours on the Corrado. I even love the ones that most people normally hate - white, red, yellow.. they all look pukka! In fact the Corrado sports white incredibly well! :)

I remember that happening Jim, was a month or so after I got my VR, whilst most of us were still using the yahoo group and not this forum ;) really can't remember the guys name, but Dom doesn't sound like it :-/
Lippy 0 Posted May 4, 2006 ice grey ones are the fastest
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted May 4, 2006 Aqua blue definitely the most common Corrado colour by miles! Would be interesting to see how many of each colour were registered over here. I did try asking VW Head Office once but they were like, A) we don't know and B) even if we did know we wouldn't tell you. So rather unhelpful in other words.
